In many cases the simulation task and the hard- and software for simulation are not so huge as shown in the last paragraph. For many technical and scientific applications exist special simulation software like Matlab/Simulink, MapleSim or different variants of Modelica (like OpenModelica e.g.).

Often Simulations are not only used for technical design or scientific analytics, but also for educational purposes. The reason is, that with simulations it is very easy to demonstrate the dependence of some systems from different parameters. This is good for models in science, but also in business or social area.

One way to deploy such kind of models are so called online simulations, were the simulation can be startet in a network, mostly internet. Technologies for this exist very different, but wide spreaded are Java applets, fals applications or second world applications. In the last 2 years together with the use of smartphones and tablets by a wider auditory also a lot of apps for mobile simulations had been developed.

All these developments are very intersting, but often the scientist or teacher is not a specialist in the area of programming and internet technologies and get lost, or cannot develop and support his own online simulations.

For these reasons EasyJava Simulation was developed, a tool to develop java applets for models mostly from physics, to get easy working demonstrators.
