Example:
: If the
pupils’ educational program in the museum is devoted to the “Water – as
chemical compound” – it is not enough to show and to explore only the structure
and the use of the different types of the water in the museum chemistry
cabinet. For the museum program is more important pupils to understand that the
water is:
- One of the most important human resources,
- Power and energy,
- Not enough in our planet
- And we are obliged to keep it clear and to use it
only for the important needs, not to waste it.
The good result of such program should be not only
knowledge, but an adequate ecological and social behavior, as concerns the same
theme.
This
example shows that the most important for the museum education is to influence
human adjustments, to create irresponsibleness and sensibility towards nature
and society etc. The museum education is directed to create criteria for global
values. That’s why it is different and wider than the classical/formal one. By
this reason in some countries it is used as element of the young leader’s
schools’ programs also.
