Remote Laboratory with Session 1
Next, several experiments to deepen with binary codes are described. The four activities proposed are different in their development:
1. Activity 1 has as goal that the student understands that a code definition (its tables) is something strict. All the codes proposed in this activity are similar, but only one is the authentic BCD.
2. Activity 2 highlights that there are distinct binary codes, having each its advantages and disadvantages (in decimal we only use one code). In this case, the student has to discover the table for each code, to observe it and decide which its main feature against other codes is.
3. Activities 3 and 4 are based in that the proposed codes and their visualisation are erroneous; it is the student task to discover them. Thus, the student reinforces the BCD.
The tool used will be the WebLab-Deusto for CPLD remote laboratory. This remote laboratory visualizes the behaviour indicated by a file against the switches values.
1. Access to the remote laboratory. Access to www.weblab.deusto.es, activate "Use WebLab-Deusto now!" and introduce the Username/Password (Figure 3).
